In memory...

Of my dear Aunt Nancy...approaching one year since she passed away. I made six of these altered canvas frames (they all look the same) These are gifts I made for the girls she helped raise and I made one for my mom & dad that says sister.

Making these and the six Scrapbooks I just completed was healing but also very emotional for me. My aunt was very special to me and I miss her greatly.

Materials: 8x10 canvas from AC Moore, Making memories paints - meadow, evergreen, craft wire.
SU! vanilla craft ink, SU! Ballet Blue CS, SU! Baroque Motif set, Discontinued sq. doily from SU!, Flowers from my stash, Ribbon from Michaels.
Letters were cut from fun foam using my newest alphabet CB Harmony :)

Spa bucket gift ensemble

How delightful it is to have such awesome friends! My friend Debbie is such a one who is so deserving of much thanks and appreciation...of course I resort to paper crafting when I need a gift or a card. In this case, a card wouldn't do I needed some serious gift searching...

I found a cute gift set that soothed you into a realm of Spa...albeit, the packaging was horrific-ly(is that a word?) uglyyyy, but no worries! We, who live in the world of papercrafting have ways to fix the situation. :)

the solution? a clear *had to have it bucket that has been in my closet since June of last year!!! From less!

embellished this plastic baby with paper, ribbon and flowers!!! gotta love those flowers and ribbons.

In my little world, which is actually part of a bigger perspective (need I remind myself that daily?) I get so consumed with has a way of distracting me from what I would like to do. Really...

This picture is one of my own, Jon and I got up early one Sunday morning and trekked down to these falls so I could catch a kodak moment. And I love those moments :)

So if I don't have a scrappy creation for you today...Enjoy this beautiful scene, one that was created by Him who Creates life and declared IT good!

The Happy Couple!

What a fun weekend (and busy!) it husband and I attended an Italian Garden Wedding! The handsome couple completed the setting of a picture perfect wedding! I was so disappointed I didn't have my SLR, which I normally carry all the time. The guests faced this fountain that had metal art sculptures and whenever the wind would blow we would get this refreshing mist, ever so gentle...sigh...

And then!!! We danced at the husband has never danced in his life. It was too much fun!

Made this card from Junkitz DP that my friend Rachael gave me. Very timely! It worked perfectly into their colour scheme :)

Materials used: Junkitz designer paper, Bazzil CS, SU! black CS
XOXO ribbon, flower from Michael's, Basic Grey rub ons.
No stamping whatsoever (huh???) ;^0

On your Graduation

As schedules go...we were invited to three Graduation parties this past weekend! From Garden parties to BBQ's and bonfires, each graduate got their turn in the spotlight! What fun it is to create cards for each one...most of these are homeschooled so it was free picking choice of colours!

Materials used: Handsome Hunter, Mellow Moss & Naturals cardstock.
Very Vanilla & Handsome Hunter Inks.
SU! Tassel Time, SU! Canvas BG, CTMH Class Of stamp sets
Stitching and SU! dimensionals, brads from my stash.

Celebrating you!

Another card for a Special girl! This one created so brother and sister had one to present with their gift. :)

Materials used:
basic grey phresh&phunky, basic grey urban couture, coordinating teal dp scraps.
Taken with teal ink, dark moss chalk ink, Prima big flower, liquid beadz, organdy ribbon and mini ric rac.

I started by picking my papers, sewed the pieces I wanted and *built* my card from there. Used the giga scallop punch for the sentiment and layered it with graduated ovals using my new Coluzzle system!

Totally Special Day!

17 years ago a special little girl was born...We use to tell her that the fireworks were for her birthday. We quit telling her that when she told someone that the 4th of July fireworks were for her...ooops!

Made this card using:
Foofala scraps, SU! cool caribbean, SU! bashful blue, twill tape from my stash.
Cool caribbean and not quite navy inks, Autumn leaves messy dates and sentiment circles sets, cuttlebug embossing folder.
