You inspire me ~

My vintage layout "You Inspire Me"
Butterfly Flourish is so versatile in that you can create an elegant layout or card with one stamped image! Love this image from Sweet'nSassy, I will be using this again and again. I made this layout of my parents holding hands when our family traveled to visit them in February. Both of them are living in nursing homes apart from one another so when they get a chance to visit, they cherish the moment, as do their children.

Here you get a closeup version of the stamped images...I embossed the flourish several times on the base, then again on a separate cs, which I used to line up the photo and embossed very carefully. I took the words from dkDesigns YOU set for my sentiment which completes my layout.
Another closeup of the elegant butterfly flourish embossed on kraft paper. This one also gives you a closeup of my vintage seam binding ribbon. I spritzed it and took my heat gun to dry it. I gave it a little die cut heart for the centre. Love how it turned out!

stamps: You, Butterfly Flourish
Papers: SU
Inks: Versamark, SU
Accessories: seam binding ribbon, MS punch, SNSS dies
Thank you for joining me! Have a great day :-)

Hooray ~ Just Bee-Cause!

stamps: Special Boy Cocoa
Paper: SU, Misc. dp
Inks: Copics, Versafine
Accessories: SNS Die, SU punch

More Cards from the April release...this first one uses Special Boy Cocoa riding a train engine. I love the sentiments that accompany this darling set. For a special smoke puff, I grabbed the clouds and raindrops die to add some dimension to the card. So cute!

Stamps: Beehappy Rhubarb
Papers: SU
Inks: memento, copics, versafine
accessories: Spellbinder die, CheeryLynn die, SU punch, ribbon
This cheerful card uses the new BeeHappy Rhubarb appropriate in his little bee suit! Don't you just love his little cap? He is coloured using copics and I used spellbinder die to cut him out and mounted him on black cardstock. The lacy die is from CheeryLynn and the base is Crumb Cake CS.

This weekend, if you attend the Allentown Heirloom show, swing on by and say hello to Korin and crew!! Make 'n Takes and lots of fun will be had :-)

Sweet'nSassy April Release Bloghop ~

Stamps: BeeHappy Rhubarb
Paper: MME A Happy Heart, SU
Inks: Memento, Copics
Accessories: Spellbinder die, scalloped die, twine, button, stitching

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps April New Release Celebration!  All of the Design Divas are excited to kick things off today with a fun blog hop full of inspiration using the sets that will be available for purchase in the store tonight.  Ready to get started? You should have hopped from Jessica Fick's blog, isn't she amazing?

stamps: Special Boy Cocoa
paper: EP, SU
Inks: Memento, Copics, Versafine
Accessories: SNS star dies, Spellbinder die, Brads, stickles, stitching

My First card (up there ^) uses the Bee Happy Rhubarb, it comes complete with three images and five sentiments. I stitched all my pieces together using my sewing machine and laid out my design to my liking. I added some twine and a mini button to finish off Sweet Rhubarb.

The second card features Special Boy Cocoa. He comes in a set with another image plus four sentiments. I wanted to create a fun "boy" card and realized I have a tough time creating those types of cards. I pulled out my star dies from SNSS and began layering them. I placed one on the opposite corner to balance my design. I stickled the stars randomely.

Your next stop is DJ Rants, you will love her work!

tulip Korin Bday
I coloured these tulips using the no lines tutorial from Splitcoaststampers! It was fun to try a new technique and love the result. The fancy punched edge along the edge is another tutorial and tip I saw on the Flourishes website.
