Vintage Holiday Christmas ~

stamps: vintage ornaments

Earlier this month, Sweet'nSassy hosted a Christmas in July Bloghop and they pre-released the sets I am featuring in this post. These sets are only available while supplies last and they will be officially released later this Fall.

My first card is using the Vintage ornaments set which includes four ornaments and five different words. Love the fonts on this set.  I intentionally kept these cards CAS - Clean and Simple. It should be super easy but I find myself wallowing in a struggle.
stamps: Holiday Baubles, Christmas Sentiments
My second card is using Holiday baubles which include everything from lights, stockings, ornaments and bows...it also include different holiday sentiments. Super fun to work with! In addition I added the Christmas Sentiments that I stamped twice to achieve the layered look to fit my die that I used. Again, this card is one layer save the die and ribbon.

Have a super Saturday!!! Be cool.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is celebrating Christmas in July! There is nothing more fun than to be dreaming of "sleighbells ringing" on a hot, hot day. I'll admit I have to muster the courage to think of drinking hot apple cider though...nevertheless, Christmas will soon be here! Let's preview some goodness from the SNSS divas and friends...If you came here from CathyMac you are where you need to be.
Stamps: Rhubarbs Christmas
For my first card, I chose to feature Rhubarb's Christmas. He is shown holding a gift and the other images include Rhubarb holding a candy cane and a gingerbread. This set comes with four sentiments.

Stamps: Away in a Manger
This card features Away in a Manger that includes three scriptures and two verses of the song. I coloured this one using chalks. I love this set!

Lastly, this card is a CAS card and it uses one of the decorative plaque dies. I also coloured this using chalks and layered the image onto the plaque that I cut in half.

Congratulations ~ Grads

stamps: Denami designs
Graduations are important milestones in a person's life. I created these cards for some of the graduates in our church. The first went to a college grad. I bought this little Grad chickie I couldn't resist at a recent show I attended. I also purchased the circle congratulations stamp to nest the chickie.

stamps: My Favourite Things
This card went to a high school graduate. I used the cuttlebug congrats folder to give the card the background it needed without detracting from the image. I love this grad girl from MFT.

Tomorrow, join the Sweet'nSassy Divas and friends for a fun Christmas Bloghop!

Words of Jesus ~ Sheltering Cherry Blossom

Stamps: Words of Jesus, Sheltering Cherry Blossom
Good Morning! To CAS or not to CAS is the question for me....here is my attempt at Clean and Simple. Why, I wonder... mine always manage to look heavy & frumpy? haha... Love this scripture from the new Words of Jesus and I combined it with the branch from Sheltering Cherry Blossom also from the newest release.
Stamps: sheltering cherry blossom
Another card I made with the new Sheltering Cherry Blossom. This one is coloured using Copics and the shadowing is created by applying colour to the outline of the image. I layered this image onto a spellbinder lacey oval die twice and also used a fancy tag die for the scripture. The background is a CB folder.

Thank you for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

Stamp: The Sea comes with quotes and scriptures

My first card uses the sure to become an all time favourite The Sea. I was reminded of this technique recently, using contact paper, some chalk (do you still have your set of fifty?) Lol...I added texture to my card base with CB folder and added some jute with an imaginary nautical knot. Next, I added some corrugated paper to give it some rugged goodness. Love the finished card.
stamp:  sheltering Cherry Blossom has 7 sentiments/scripture
My second card features Sheltering Cherry Blossom. I love this branch with sweet blooms! I turned the branch to make it into a tree and applied ink to give it some shadowing around the image to create dimension. Now head on over to Kim Schofield and see what eye candy she has for you. Happy 236th birthday America ~

Patriotic Cocoa
Let's celebrate the day with lots of sparkle! Today, I am hosting the hump day challenge over at Splitcoaststampers sweet'nsassy member forum. Your card does not have to be red, white and blue, it only needs to carry alot of sparkle.

I coloured my Patriotic Cocoa using copics and then "coloured" the white stripes with liquid pearls to give it some shimmer. Lastly, I added transparent glitter over the red and blue. The picture doesn't give it the full shine - sorry. To give it a final glam, I added the pearl and rhinestone spray to give it some fireworks appeal. I chose the red/white twine for my final embellishment.

Enjoy your day and celebrate with sparkle!

Ready to Sparkle ~ Chef Cocoa is

Digi Chef Cocoa

Love this image of Chef Cocoa - perfect for the bbq chefs' or culinary artists in your world! I gave his hat some sparkle as he debuts his culinary skill for the 4th of July!

I pulled out my die from Cheery Lynn to give the Backdrop that Chef Cocoa deserves. Cocoa is coloured using copics and layered on SU shimmery white and Silver that was run through an embossing folder.

Check back tomorrow for more Cocoa sparkly fun!  Enjoy your day :-)
