Friends of SNSS's Blog Hop ~

This is the long awaited Blog hop!!! We are so excited you are hopping with us today in Celebration of Sweet'nSassy's 5th Birthday! My introduction to SNSS was when I first fell in love with Cocoa! I was invited to be on the Crazy4Cocoa team, followed by the digi team and now, part of the SNSS Design Divas. I appreciate Korin and Dan for the exclusive designs they bring and providing Christian and inspirational stamps! It has also been great fun working with them and stamping fun times with Korin. Happy Birthday Sweet'nSassy!!!

OK, Here are a few things you need to know as you hop along ~
  • There will be 4 random blogs from whom SNSS will choose 1 commenter to receive a $15 store credit.
  • To be included in the drawings, comments must be left by midnight EST Friday, November 30th.
  • The winners will be announced on the SNSS Blog on December 1st at 8am EST
My cards feature the Christmas Sentiments combined with the decorative frame toppers. Each card is very simply done, as the sentiments have their own elegance. I love the addition of the stamped toppers to create simple elegant "framed" cards.
For Each card I added pearls from want2scrap. I love that a simple pearl can dress up a card. On my first card, I added fabric rosettes that match the colour beautifully.

Don't forget to leave me and all our friends a comment for a chance to win a prize! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Materials used:
Stamps: Christmas Sentiments, Decorative Frame Toppers
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Papers: SU, K&Co.
Accessories: Want2Scrap pearls, fabric rosettes

Heartfelt Wednesday ~ To a Beautiful You

Timeless Amour was released on Black Friday. If you haven't yet checked this new release, you might want to head over there and see all the beautiful new designs in this collection! The new dies are Gorgeous, you will want to purchase those to create beautiful layouts and cards!

My card is featuring the newly released stamps, papers and dies from the Timeless Amour Collection. This die is a filigree/lattice die that is gorgeous as is or inked and layered as I did on my card. I took the blooms from the rosette precut set and layered them onto the die using dimensionals to give them varied dimension. I stamped the sentiment onto matching paper and hand cut it to a fishtail banner. I added the rhinestones that I coloured using copics to give it some blingy pizzaz.
Be sure to check out what the Heartfelt Design Team has created with this new release, complete with instructions for each project you view.

True Friend ~

Happy Cyber Monday! Will you be shopping online without the jostling of carts, people and hurried frenzy? Check out  Sweet 'n Sassy  and take advantage of the Christmas sale! But hurry, it ends on the 30th!

I made this card using True Friend and combined it with Nature's Silhouettes. I stamped the sentiment using versafine black ink onto white shimmery card stock. I stamped the floral silhouette in rich razzleberry and old olive inks from SU in first and second generation. The sentiment and stamped images were die cut with spellbinders oval die that was layered in scalloped oval die. I adhered this onto my prepared card base using CTMH papers.

Enjoy your day!

In God is my Salvation ~

Hi everyone! I love this scripture from Sweet 'n Sassy! How appropriate to declare this the day before Thanksgiving! This scripture comes from the Our Refuge set combined with Natures Silhouettes it becomes a dynamic duo.

I stamped the scripture in Versafine ink onto white shimmery cardstock. Yes, it shimmers. The solid images were stamped using crumb cake ink and the wildflowers were stamped in second generation while the bird was stamped directly onto the scripture. I embellished using bakers twine and using a flower for the centre.

Thank you for stopping by!

I Thank God for You ~

Hi everyone! With Thanksgiving around the corner, these images are perfect and appropriate for the season. A season of harvest speaks volumes to me in relation to reaping a harvest in our labour of prayer. We shall reap a harvest in due season if we faint not.

My card is a regular A2 size. Fold card base in half and layer classic editions paper that is cut down by 1/4". I stamped the wagon in memento ink and created a mask for it. I layered the mask over top to stamp the wheat sheaves. I cut a slit in the wagon and layered it onto the first layer of the beautiful Classic editions dp. I coloured the wagon and the sheaf using copics. The pumpkins were stamped in memento ink on copic friendly paper. I die cut the images out using HCD724. I began to arrange them into the wagon and adhered them using dimensional tape . The sentiment is stamped using black ink onto a matching dp and cut down to create a fishtail tag to finish the card. To ground the wagon, I added some texture to the ground by dotting with copics. You can find additional products appropriate for this season at Heartfelt Creations.

Heartfelt Creation Falling Leaves Canvas ~

To view Cocoa's Peppermint Latte - scroll down to second post

Happy Wednesday! Today, I want to share with you my final submissions to Heartfelt Creations. I created an altered Canvas and a card using the stamps and dies HC sent me.
12x12 Open Leaves Canvas:

Stamps: HCPC 3334 Open Falling Leaves
Dies: HCD 707 Falling Leaves, HCD 712 Bella Rose Die
Paper: HCDP 224 Classic Editions 12x12
Other: 12x12 blank canvas, MS Punch, Stickles, rhinestones, spellbinder labels 4 die, mod podge, seam binding ribbon, pop dots

To prepare canvas:  the canvas was "painted" with Matte Mod podge to give it texture. Classic Editions paper was cut to fit the inside of the canvas and glued in place using mod podge. I cut a coordinating piece to frame the main panel. Next, I cut four strips to cover the exposed inset of the frame. After it was all dry, I added stickles to all the highlighted areas of the decorative paper and let it dry completely. I took exacto knife and carefully cut around the pieces I wanted to lift and give dimension. I added a coordinating piece of dp that I punched using a decorative MS punch and adhered it to fit under the cut out design.
closeup view and details
The leaves were embossed using copper EP and cut out using the coordinating die. I began to build my leaf layers on the bella rose die along the edges of my canvas frame. Pop dots are used to give adequate dimension to the leaves. The sentiment is stamped using versafine and die cut to fit the leaf design on the lower left corner. I added leaves to the upper right corner and topped it off with antiqued seam binding ribbon. Finally, I adhered two rows of rhinestones that I coloured using Copics to match my colour scheme. To seal the whole piece, I brushed mod podge on all the leaves and sentiment. It adds stability.

Thanksgiving Card:

Stamps: HCPC 3334 Open Falling leaves
Dies: HCD 725 Decorative Metal Fixtures
Paper: HCDP1 224 Classic Editions Collection 12x12

Classic editions paper was cut down to layer onto regular A2 size cardstock base. The sentiment was stamped in versafine ink onto a journaling block and adhered onto matching cardstock. Vintage lace is adhered to the bottom edge of the sentiment. Decorative metal fixtures were die cut and positioned to create a framing effect. Pearls were added for embellishment on the corners and edge of card.

Thank you for joining me! Have a beautiful day!

Cocoa's Peppermint Latte ~

Good morning everyone! Cocoa's Latte is my most favourite Cocoa! I paper pieced  this image using some of my Christmas dp from Basic Grey. I stamped this image three times on dp and once on the copic friendly cs so I could colour Cocoa with my copics. I wove bakers twine through the scallops around the die cut for a peppermint twist appeal. The designer paper is embossed using SU's snowflake embossing folder.

Beginning tomorrow, you can purchase your own favourite Cocoa with a discount at the Sweet'nSassy Store. Why not create a card using your favourite Cocoa image? Check out the store to see the special on Cocoa and Cookie.

stamps: Cocoa's Latte
Paper: Basic Grey, SU
Inks: memento, copics, versafine

My first card is showcasing Rhubarb in his santa hat holding a present wrapped in a festive bow. This set comes with three images of Rhubarb plus four sentiments.
My Second card also features Rhubarb's Christmas. Rhubarb is holding a gingerbread cookie. I made this card 3x5, great for use as a gift tag or as a money holder.
Finally, I chose this Morning Glory as one of my floral favourites! The set comes with two scriptures and four sentiments. I kept the design clean on a white background purposely to showcase the flowers. The sentiment is a declaration of praise appropriate for this gorgeous set.
