SNSS Messy Faith and Feathers ~

Good morning Sweet'nSassy family and friends! This morning I bring you samples of one of my favourite sets from Korin. Faith is an ensemble of inspirational quotes and scriptures. It comes with seven sentiments/scriptures. My first sample tells a bit of a story...I love creativity and trying new things so I took a "let's get  messy" class with my friend and SNSS sister Cathy. It involved a gelli plate and lots of paint. We got messy and I am using one of the prints I created that evening for my background. I LOVE that it worked perfectly for my card. The feathers are from the Nature's Silhouette 2 and the birds and feathers die.
My second sample uses the same combination of stamps with second generation stamping. Very simple with no embellishments.

The Birthday Celebration continues until the end of the month. This week November 20-26 Sweet and Sassy is celebrating by offering 25% off all dies. Use this code when ordering: BDAYDIES25
Materials Used:
Stamps: Faith, Nature's Silhouette 2
Paper: SU, Hampton Arts

Shady Lane Impressions Country Church~

Hi everyone! Another image from Shady Lane impressions. This nostalgic scene is part of another unmounted sheet I bought at SL a few weeks ago. The trees, windows and star is accented with stickles after I coloured it with tombow markers.

A shout out and huge thanks to Sarah for creating a watermark for me! Taking it to a new level. All things creative. You understand.

Have a super day!

Shady Lane Impressions Christmas ~

It's November! Time is definitely on the move and we are trying to save it by falling back an hour? I don't think so. Speaking of moving on, Isn't this Christmas Dove beautiful? I love the flowers he is perched on. I coloured him using tombows on mixed media paper. I highlighted everything with a fine point white sharpie. I love my paper crafting friends who give me all kinds of wonderful tips.
A closeup view of my colouring. This image comes in a single wood mount stamp or on a full rubber mount with coordinating stamps and sentiments. Support the small local businesses in your area, you'll be surprised at the small treasures you find.

Have a wonderful day! Craft something fun and pretty today :)

Heartfelt Creations Bird Haven and Winner ~

Hi everyone! Thank you all for hopping with us this past week. We have a winner.  The winner of the October Alumni Blog Hop was chosen from Sarah Miller's blog. The winner is Becca Cruger. You have 72 hours to claim your prize. Congratulations!!!

My Bird Haven card has been a long time on "hold" and finally finished. I love this image of the birdhouse and roses. This stamp is now discontinued but very much holds its own for colouring and creating beautiful cards. I coloured this using copics and die cut it using oval dies. It is then layered onto Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance nestabilities. The card base is "embossed" with the fancy lattice spellbinders die, giving it texture without overwhelming the design.

Materials used:
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations Bird Haven
Inks: Copics, memento black
Paper: SU and neenah CS
Accessories: Spellbinder dies - Fleur de Elegance, Fancy Lattice, Ovals
Here is a closeup of the embossed base using the fancy lattice. I hope I have inspired you to create something this weekend. Enjoy and share what you create!

Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT October Bloghop~

Happy October! Personally, my favourite time of year, beautiful colours, birthdays and cozy evenings. And...the last Tuesday of  the month means it is time for another Bloghop with the Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT. My Card uses Joy to the World from the Sparkling Poinsettia collection which was released earlier this year. I wanted to create a "vintage feel" to this beautiful montage of images and words defining the Joy of my life. Well, here you have it, not quite vintage but a quick combination of inking, pencil colouring and sponging on discontinued Frosty Blanket paper collection. I love it. The image is cut in a rectangle and layered on more paper and finally onto the spellbinder die.

Be sure to visit each designer's blog and leave a comment. Comments will close on Fri. October 30th at midnight for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. The winner of the blog hop will have 72 hours to claim their prize otherwise another name will be drawn. They will need to email Emma Lou with "Winner of October Alumni Hop" on subject line.
