Heartfelt Creations Bird Haven and Winner ~

Hi everyone! Thank you all for hopping with us this past week. We have a winner.  The winner of the October Alumni Blog Hop was chosen from Sarah Miller's blog. The winner is Becca Cruger. You have 72 hours to claim your prize. Congratulations!!!

My Bird Haven card has been a long time on "hold" and finally finished. I love this image of the birdhouse and roses. This stamp is now discontinued but very much holds its own for colouring and creating beautiful cards. I coloured this using copics and die cut it using oval dies. It is then layered onto Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance nestabilities. The card base is "embossed" with the fancy lattice spellbinders die, giving it texture without overwhelming the design.

Materials used:
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations Bird Haven
Inks: Copics, memento black
Paper: SU and neenah CS
Accessories: Spellbinder dies - Fleur de Elegance, Fancy Lattice, Ovals
Here is a closeup of the embossed base using the fancy lattice. I hope I have inspired you to create something this weekend. Enjoy and share what you create!

Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT October Bloghop~

Happy October! Personally, my favourite time of year, beautiful colours, birthdays and cozy evenings. And...the last Tuesday of  the month means it is time for another Bloghop with the Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT. My Card uses Joy to the World from the Sparkling Poinsettia collection which was released earlier this year. I wanted to create a "vintage feel" to this beautiful montage of images and words defining the Joy of my life. Well, here you have it, not quite vintage but a quick combination of inking, pencil colouring and sponging on discontinued Frosty Blanket paper collection. I love it. The image is cut in a rectangle and layered on more paper and finally onto the spellbinder die.

Be sure to visit each designer's blog and leave a comment. Comments will close on Fri. October 30th at midnight for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. The winner of the blog hop will have 72 hours to claim their prize otherwise another name will be drawn. They will need to email Emma Lou with "Winner of October Alumni Hop" on subject line.
